BOOMSPDESIGN, the international forum for architecture, design, and art, is heading into its 11th edition, with dates already set: August 27, 28, and 29 at the Lounge da Bienal in Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo. The event is premised on discussing, updating, exploring, thinking, and rethinking design.
A highlight of the event: founder Beto Cocenza has announced the 2018 Designer of the Year: atelier oï. Founded in 1991 in La Neuveville, Switzerland, by Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis, and Patrick Reymond, atelier oï was born from an intuitive and emotional affinity for shaping different materials. The team defines their practice through transdisciplinarity, team spirit, and an intimate relationship with materials.
