Conference | Tactical Urbanism – Placemaking

The "Corredor Sur" project, a partnership between the collectives TransLAB.URB (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Urbanismo Vivo (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and FADU (Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay), which began in November 2017, is starting to yield its first results.

Aiming to promote the exchange of best practices in urban activism and academic research, while also seeking to engage civil society, the private sector, and public administration, this regional integration corridor has spent the first semester exploring urban intervention projects based on methodologies and tools derived from placemaking and tactical urbanism.
