Dialogues for Action: Facing the Crisis

Aiming to open a discussion and uncover opportunities for adaptation and resilience, the Association of Architecture Offices is launching a series of conversations that will address various topics relevant to both professional practice and the public and private spheres that shape the city.

In this way, the series proposes an optimistic approach to the challenges facing the city in both local and global contexts, highlighting opportunities for positive transformation following complex situations and thereby promoting more resilient cities. This takes place against the backdrop of social and health crises, framed by phenomena such as climate change and technological advancements, among others, which are rapidly transforming the world and the practice of architecture.
"Facing the Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities" will be the first session, taking place on June 23 at 6:00 PM via Zoom. The session will feature lawyer Javier Zaldívar and industrial civil engineer Cristián Ureta, who will address the current options available to service-based SMEs regarding financing (COVID loans with Fogape guarantees, installment deferrals for other instruments), labor exceptions (how to apply, which types of companies are eligible), and taxes (deferrable installments, payment dates, current agreements, among others).
