In April, the NGO Vivacidade is hosting the Seminar on Housing Improvements in Self-Construction, a free event organized by the TABA group for Technical Assistance in Social Interest Housing, with funding support from the Council of Architecture and Urbanism of São Paulo (CAU/SP), under public notice no. 001/2018 and funding agreement no. 007/2018.
The event will take place in the city of Ribeirão Preto from April 5 to 7, 2019, and aims to discuss and promote the professional practice of architects and urban planners within the scope of Technical Assistance for Social Interest Housing (ATHIS). Invited speakers include: architect and urban planner Mariana Estevão from the NGO Soluções Urbanas; the Municipal Housing Secretariat of the city of Limeira; the Architects' Union of the State of São Paulo (SASP); civil engineer Nilvaldo Gomes from the Ribeirão Preto Municipal Secretariat of Planning and Public Management; and historical leaders from the Jardim Progresso neighborhood, which is currently undergoing land regularization.
