Planetary Villages is a workshop focused on the design research of various geomorphological performances of the Earth's crust within the Andes Mountains, which exhibit natural architectural habitat behaviors. This theoretical and formal study is supported by the research that gave it its name, initiated in 2018 and supported by the National Fund for the Arts (AR).
Through a series of questions, the workshop will explore the search for a wild, natural, and primitive architecture that provides direct shelter for various biological, animal, or human entities, based on the conscious use of geological forms as architectural matrices.
Is the act of conceiving construction in nature a political act?
Must architecture become political to return to its natural habitat and move beyond its private infrastructure?
Is it possible to conceive of an architecture for nature as a whole, rather than just for humans?
