"Coffee THROUGH THE SENSES"
For the first time in history, coffee will be presented through an immersive, multisensory approach in an exhibition occupying the Polo Cultural ItalianoRio at Casa D'Italia for three months.
As the world's most consumed beverage after water, coffee is the subject of an unprecedented exhibition. "Coffee THROUGH THE SENSES" will guide visitors through a sensory and immersive experience starting November 14 at the Polo Cultural ItalianoRio. By engaging the five senses—smell, hearing, sight, touch, and taste—the event aims to reach a broad audience across all age groups.
"What is felt is never forgotten," emphasizes curator and project creator Josefina Durini, who brings the expertise of a certified organic coffee grower from her farm in the Vale do Café region of Rio de Janeiro, in Barra do Piraí.
"Brazil was and remains the world's largest producer and exporter of the bean, which is why we wanted to present it in a way never seen before," adds Durini, who is also responsible for the exhibition's concept.
