Founded in 2016 by three architecture and urbanism students—Matheus Pereira, Ellen Corrêa, and Yasmim Amorim—driven by a desire to analyze urban space and engage in a deeper debate regarding São Paulo's architecture and its layers, the project was born from a commitment to foster a new perception of space among architecture and urbanism students and those interested in the field. This is achieved through the observation of the city and the places we inhabit daily, which we often overlook despite their significance.
To this end, we organize visits to various locations throughout São Paulo, where you will explore the history of local architecture, the city's urban planning, significant buildings within the metropolis, and visit select offices, studios, and professionals.
In addition to the presentations and spatial context provided during these visits, debates are held to provoke and awaken the participants' critical thinking. It is worth noting that this exercise refines the perception of "looking" at the city and allows for an analysis of the relationship between the built object and the urban scene.
