Ophicina de Arquitetura was founded with the goal of sharing architectural knowledge worldwide. Composed of a team of architects, it serves as a platform for ideas, creative projects, and immersive workshops on architectural representation software.
Our course, Ophicina de Visualização e Diagramação em Arquitetura, focuses on teaching graphic representation to architecture students and professionals. Using the Villa Verde project by the award-winning Chilean firm Elemental as a base, participants develop graphic products using AutoCAD and SketchUp, ensuring that working on future projects becomes a simple and intuitive task.
We seek alternatives that establish a more artistic dialogue between design intent and expression. Why not revisit the conventions of architectural drawing and create new methods by leveraging digital tools? The practice of "post-digital" collage representation remains strong in both firms and universities. In contrast to the dominant narrative of hyper-realistic rendering—which creates a utopian vision of a project—collages are not merely stylistic tools, but powerful instruments for representation and design. It is possible for a drawing to capture the identity of both the project and the architect, as well as its narrative and context, incorporating real-world textures and objects.
