Min Peniche, creative director of Arkham Projects, will be in conversation with Juhani Pallasmaa to discuss the future of architecture and how it resonates with topics explored decades ago. The discussion will examine the similarities and differences between past and present thinking, architecture, and humanism.
Juhani founded his firm, Arkkitehtitoimisto Juhani Pallasmaa KY, in Helsinki in 1983. He served as a professor and dean at the Helsinki University of Technology, director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture, and rector of the Helsinki University of Art and Design. He is also the author of several architectural books, including Animal Architects, The Architecture of Humility, The Thinking Hand, and Dwelling. Additionally, he served as a Pritzker Prize juror from 2009 to 2014 and was a student at Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s residence, in 2012 and 2013.
