Coletivo LEVANTE was established in 2017 following the meeting of artist Kdu dos Anjos (founder of the Lá da Favelinha Cultural Center) and architect Fernando Maculan (MACh Arquitetos) with the aim of using architecture to generate landmark places in rural, favela, and peripheral communities, creating spatial and experiential references rooted in the recognition of social values and the local landscape.
