Presentation of the work of this Venezuelan architecture collective by co-founder Marcos Coronel. The collective defines itself as a territorial political action structure focused on developing infrastructure strategies and operations in environments characterized by unconventional urban conflicts.
The group was co-founded and is led by Marcos Coronel, Juan Carlos Castillo, and Kenneth Gómez, who serve as researchers and guest speakers at universities and institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean. Their work has been recognized by the Curry Stone Design Prize (USA), naming them among the 2017 Social Design Circle Honorees, a list of the 100 most relevant social design practices. They received the Social Production of Habitat Award from Architecture Sans Frontières International (France) in 2015, the Social Habitat and Development Prize at the XV Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito (Ecuador) in 2016, and, more recently, the Young Architect in Latin America award at the 2018 Venice Biennale.
