The Bio-Environmental Design Laboratory at the University of Flores (UFLO) invites you to the second free lecture of the ENVIRONMENT and CITY series, which aims to foster reflection and the exchange of perspectives on environmental issues within the urban context.
On Tuesday, September 11, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, architect Juan Ruarte will present the lecture "Transit-Oriented Urban Development: Comprehensive Urban Mobility Policies." The specialist is an undergraduate and graduate professor at the University of Buenos Aires, a consultant for public urban-environmental and mobility projects, and currently works in the Territorial Planning and Coordination department of the National Ministry of Transport.
The session aims to discuss the interrelation between territory, mobility, and current policies, and to present the transit-oriented urban development approach as an alternative intended to guarantee greater accessibility to services and opportunities, while simultaneously promoting livable, competitive, and environmentally sustainable neighborhoods and cities.
