Ibero-American Architect Observatory: "The Seven Deadly Sins"

The Ibero-American Architect Observatory is an online space for reflection aimed at redefining the profile of today's architect. It seeks to connect with society to find answers that strengthen our profession.

The initiative explores how to deal with the temptations that entice architects and distance them from humility, temperance, or patience. We are all surrounded by stimuli that destabilize us and prevent us from connecting with society. The key here is to become aware of these automatic attitudes we adopt as part of "being and practicing as an architect" and to reflect on the benefits of overcoming them.

Borja Vildosola (Bilbao, 1991) is one of the architects who transformed their professional life through the Independent Architects Program. Through this process, they managed to consolidate a steady flow of their own clients with whom to forge their vocation, letting go of limiting behaviors and beliefs that hinder our profession in order to bring out the best version of themselves.
