With the III International Forum of Urban Interventions just a few months away, the event organizers have launched an open call inviting the public to intervene in the official poster by creating their own version. "We want this forum to reach as many citizens as possible and involve them in reclaiming their public spaces. Intervening in the city is a duty, in order to make it a better place. We are offering the poster as one more opportunity for citizens to participate in this event," stated Mariana Alegre, Coordinator of Lima Cómo Vamos, a citizen observatory that organizes this urban forum through its initiative, Ocupa tu calle.
The graphic intervention should portray the perception or characterization of public space through the activities, ideas, concepts, or manifestations that take place in the city's public spaces. Participants can download the poster template via Ocupa tu Calle's social media channels. The winning proposal, selected through an online vote, will serve as the cover for this edition's Urban Interventions Forum publication and will receive additional prizes.
