The "Um Novo Portal" (A New Portal) Competition, organized by Minimum, is a team-based competition for students and recent graduates of Architecture and Urbanism.
In partnership with the architecture firm KS Arquitetos and the company Prontosul, Minimum challenges participants to develop ideas for the revitalization of a public space in Porto Alegre known as one of the "Guaíba Portals." Located in the city's southern zone along the banks of Lake Guaíba, the site is known as the Mario Totta Portal.
Participants are tasked with creating spaces and experiences that transform the site into a model for the city, focusing on architecture and urban strategies that revitalize public space in Porto Alegre.
