Submissions open for projects addressing the COVID-19 pandemic

Emergency initiatives to combat the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic through architecture and urbanism are now eligible for funding from the CAU/SC. On Tuesday, May 26, the Council launched Public Call No. 01/2020, which allocates R$ 75,000 to projects benefiting families in socioeconomic vulnerability, specifically within the realms of Social Interest Housing and Education, Research, and Extension.

Projects may apply for grants of R$ 2,500 and must execute municipal or state-level actions by December 2020. Applications will be accepted from June 1 to June 14, 2020, with the preliminary results expected on June 19. In alignment with the social distancing recommendations advocated by the World Health Organization during this pandemic, the CAU/SC Information Technology department has developed an entirely online system for proposal submissions.
