The Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Competition is an international contest aimed at promoting the practice of architecture and urbanism that preserves and continues local traditions, contributing to the creation of a more beautiful, coherent, sustainable, and socially inclusive urban structure.
The competition is held in two successive phases. In the first, Spanish municipalities were invited to submit potential themes and sites. From the proposals received, an international jury selected those that best aligned with the stated objectives and criteria and were deemed most viable for subsequent implementation.
