
The 7th {CURA} Prize continues the initiative of hosting ideas competitions with themes aligned with current discussions in architecture, urbanism, and society, aiming to delve deeper into the discourse on contemporary Brazil.
Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed social fragility. While the entire country was subjected to the federal government's incompetence and inhumane cruelty, it is clear that not all segments of the population were affected in the same way.
While some could isolate at home by adopting remote work, a large portion of the population was exposed to the virus, as well as unemployment and hunger. These two factors shifted consumption patterns: while the first group could isolate, their solution for consumption was an increase in purchases via delivery apps. Conversely, the second group saw the rise in delivery work as an opportunity. However, the precarious nature of this work is evident. There is little support for these workers.
