Aiming to challenge young architects to reflect on a sensitive and timely issue, CONCURSO ARQUITETURA invites students and recent graduates of Architecture and Urbanism to propose temporary housing for refugees. The solution must provide the minimum requirements for a dignified life and address the immediate needs of the inhabitants. Furthermore, it is essential that the design conveys a sense of protection and welcome to these already vulnerable users.
Participants will design a housing model of up to 25m². Although the project represents a single dwelling, it should be conceived as a replicable unit to accommodate as many people as possible. It is at the participant's discretion whether to designate a specific location (city, country, or region) and whether the housing will be fixed or mobile.
