The "Às Margens" competition, organized by Minimum, is open to architecture and urban planning students and recent graduates*. The competition aims to generate new, modern proposals for the revitalization of the Dilúvio Stream in Porto Alegre. The organizers are seeking proposals and ideas that provide the Dilúvio with a design commensurate with its potential, transforming it into a landmark for Porto Alegre rather than its current state: a heavily polluted and underutilized stream.
Consequently, the challenge for participants is to design planned spaces with relevant, diverse uses. Beyond fostering greater integration into the daily lives of Porto Alegre residents, these proposals should establish a cohesive identity along the stream's entire length and encourage environmental stewardship by discouraging the pollution of public spaces.
