Reactivating Landmarks Competition 1: Quito Bullring

Reactivando Hitos stems from the need to revitalize potentially underutilized urban spaces. The inaugural edition focuses on the Plaza de Toros in Quito, Ecuador.

Following the ban on bullfighting festivals, this strategic site currently sits abandoned. This ideas competition seeks proposals to revitalize the space while respecting its cultural, historical, and heritage significance, as well as its physical, urban, and social context.

Participants are free to approach the intervention through any concept they deem appropriate.
