Vazio S/A, Coletivo Aurora, and Eduardo de Jesus are launching Outros Territórios (Other Territories) – an International Call for Urban Intervention Projects. The initiative aims to gather a series of ephemeral interventions for Buritis, a mountainous neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, enabling an instantaneous transformation of its landscape by simultaneously occupying the "stilt-like" structures (exposed beams and pillars) of various buildings.
A range of overlooked and unconventional spaces will be brought to life through an event that proposes an open field of study: the latent possibilities of the existing city. It serves as an opportunity to test new ideas, exchange experiences, and heighten awareness; it demonstrates how small-scale interventions can generate lasting transformations with limited resources, while acting as a tool to explore alternative solutions for the urban recomposition of a frayed fabric like that of Belo Horizonte.
