After seven years, revista empena resumes its reflections on the city and those who inhabit it. We present ourselves, once again, as a student journal entirely organized, curated, and edited by students from Escola da Cidade.
In this second edition, we propose thinking through deviation, seeking to push beyond the boundaries of the field of Architecture and Urbanism, using "thresholds" as an umbrella concept. This term was conceptualized by the German essayist Walter Benjamin and subsequently developed by the Swiss-Brazilian philosopher Jeanne Marie Gagnebin.
