The Bee Breeders Black Balsam Laboratories competition is seeking designs to help bartenders and cocktail creators invent the next great drink. This traditional Latvian liqueur has a long history of being enjoyed for its intense and unique flavor, dating back to the 1700s.
To attract a younger audience and increase the popularity of this traditional beverage, Bee Breeders is tasking participants with designing a series of small "laboratories" that can be located anywhere in the world. Each laboratory should be only as large as necessary for one bartender and provide space for guests to experiment and create their own cocktails using Black Balsam.
This is an opportunity to combine the traditions of the past with the trends of the future, all with a touch of pleasant indulgence. The Black Balsam Laboratories competition will be open until April 20, and the winners of the $6,000 prize will be announced on June 20, 2018.
