Brazil's largest private architecture competition selects a design for a nearly 12,000 m² residential building
Weefor ARQ, Brazil's largest private residential architecture competition, has opened registration for its third edition to select the design for a 12,000 m² residential building in Curitiba—the developer's largest project to date. Expectations are to surpass the number of entries from previous editions, which exceeded 200.
Established in 2022 by Maria Eugenia Fornea, founder of the Curitiba-based developer Weefor, the competition is open to architects nationwide and was designed to democratize access to the real estate market. As a pioneer in Brazil for selecting projects through national competitions, Weefor uses this strategy to promote the creation of spaces that meet the real needs of people and the city, while also encouraging architectural practice through public competitions.
