Despite its relatively small size, Ireland exerts an enormous influence on the global music scene. Now, more than ever, it is important to promote this tradition by increasing rural community access to live music venues.
In collaboration with the historic concert hall Connolly’s of Leap, Bee Breeders is seeking proposals for the restoration and expansion of this iconic venue as part of the Irish Cult Music Venue competition. Participants must respect the site's 227-year history while utilizing their creativity to envision an iconic concert space that can revitalize this live music stage.
Since Connolly’s of Leap has expressed interest in construction, winning designs must blend the classic with the modern to create something entirely new. The Irish Cult Music Venue architecture competition is open until April 13. Winners will be announced on June 6, 2018. For more information and downloads, visit irishcultmusicvenue.beebreeders.com.
