The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that we are experiencing a pandemic of the novel coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. “In the last two weeks, the number of Covid-19 cases outside of China has increased 13-fold, and the number of affected countries has tripled. We have more than 118,000 infections in 114 nations, and 4,291 people have died,” stated Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the WHO, on March 11, 2020.
