On October 7 (Thursday) at 7:00 PM, {CURA} will host the fifth interview with jurors from the 6th {CURA} Award, introducing the fifth jury member to participants: Marcelo Ferraz. The conversation is intended to serve as supplementary material for those participating in the competition. This time, Francesco Perrotta-Bosch, who is also a jury member, will moderate the discussion, representing our partner, Todavia publishing house.
_ Marcelo Ferraz
An architect who graduated from FAU-USP in 1978, he is a founding partner of the firm Brasil Arquitetura (1979), where he has completed numerous award-winning projects in Brazil and abroad. He collaborated with Lina Bo Bardi on all her projects from 1977 to 1992. He collaborated with Oscar Niemeyer in 2002. He directed the Bardi Institute from 1992 to 2001 and the Monumenta Program for the restoration of historic cities (Ministry of Culture) between 2003 and 2004. In 2006, he was a visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis, USA. He is a professor at Escola da Cidade and a founding partner of Marcenaria Barauna, where he has been designing and producing furniture since 1986. He has published the books Arquitetura Rural na Serra da Mantiqueira, Arquitetura Conversável, Marcenaria Barauna: móvel como arquitetura, and Brasil Arquitetura vol. I (2005) and vol. II (2020).
