On September 17, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Escola da Cidade – Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism will host the second meeting of the 2019 "Portas Abertas" (Open Doors) program. The event will be opened by architect and president of the Escola da Cidade Association, Alvaro Puntoni. Following this, architects and professors Roberto Alfredo Pompéia and Maria Rosa Almeida will lead an interactive class titled "Principles of Architectural Structure," where they will guide participants in building structural models using everyday materials to better understand architectural construction.
The "Portas Abertas" program consists of a series of activities designed for prospective students interested in enrolling in an Architecture and Urbanism course. Held since 2017, the program aims to provide students with the opportunity to experience the school firsthand, exploring its facilities and interacting with faculty and current students.
