The BrCidades network currently includes 26 public and private universities, in addition to partnerships with technical, student, and professional organizations, such as the National Federation of Architects (FNA), the National Federation of Architecture Students (FENEA), and various state chapters of the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB). Our goal is to popularize urban issues and set a new agenda for Brazil's cities. Over its three years of existence, the BrCidades network has addressed topics such as the need for a new urban mobility matrix using clean energy; the environment as a common good; the defense of anti-racist cities; open government and shared management in local power; and the role of architects in addressing priority issues for marginalized populations.
