Iain Sinclair, author of Lights Out for the Territory, is the latest guest of the renowned "La Ciudad y las Palabras" (The City and the Words) project, a program under the PhD in Architecture and Urban Studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, sponsored by La Tercera. The author will deliver a lecture on London on Thursday, November 8, at 6:30 PM in the UC School of Architecture auditorium (El Comendador 1936, Providencia).
Sinclair (Cardiff, 1943) is a Welsh writer and filmmaker who studied in Dublin and is based in London. His work explores London through the practice of psychogeography, weaving together its locations, histories, and legends with the emotions and behaviors that coexist there. In several of these texts, he tracks the ghosts of the UK capital. His work served as the basis for Alan Moore’s series From Hell.
