To foster reflection and the exchange of ideas and perspectives, the Universidad de Flores will host the talk “Urbanism and Gender Perspective: Basic Notions for Debate” on Monday, June 10. Featuring presentations by academics and specialists, the event aims to address a topic already established on the public agenda through the lens of urbanism.
The issue of gender perspective also challenges academia regarding the scope of its studies and research. Gender inequality and discrimination are increasingly visible across social, economic, political, and cultural spheres. Our cities are the product of the interaction of these aspects and reflect the power dynamics that define their form and function. For this reason, the third talk in the ENVIRONMENT and CITY series, organized by the Bio-Environmental Design Laboratory at the Universidad de Flores (UFLO), will focus on urbanism and gender perspective.
