Organized by SOM and the Fundación Arquitectura COAM, this exhibition explores the work of SOM’s structural engineering team, its integration with architectural design, and the ideas behind some of the world’s most significant projects.
Initially exhibited in Munich, the exhibition’s original concept is based on a special dossier published by Detail magazine in 2015. Since then, various iterations have been presented in Hamburg and Cologne; Aalborg, Denmark; at the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial; as a collateral event at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale; and, most recently, as part of MEXTRÓPOLI in Mexico City.
