The Santa Cruz International Architecture Biennial (BASC) is one of the most important architecture events in Bolivia and one of the fastest-growing in Latin America. Now in its ninth edition, it will take place in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra from March 14 to 22, 2024. This year, the theme will revolve around the concept of “Latin American Parallels.”
Organized by the Santa Cruz College of Architects, BASC 2024 received more than 330 projects from 25 countries, continuing to solidify its status as a global-scale event.
For the ninth edition of the Santa Cruz International Architecture Biennial, we propose the need for an event that is open to the city, society, collectives, and citizens. It will be a Biennial exhibited and discussed at various locations throughout the city, with and for all citizens, through an understanding of the diversity—and, fundamentally, the similarities—of our Latin American cities.
