Architecture in the City Workshop 2020

The workshop will be held online from August 31 to September 12, 2020. Its primary objective is to examine the challenges surrounding the Pampulha Lagoon, a UNESCO World Heritage site defined by the works of Oscar Niemeyer.

The workshop activities are coordinated by architects Alberto Collet and Carlos Maia and will be accompanied by a series of lectures featuring Tetro Arquitetura (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Giancarlo Mazzanti (Bogotá, Colombia), Estudio 41 (Curitiba, Brazil), Carlos Ferrater (Barcelona, Spain), Oscar Gonzalez Moix (Lima, Peru), Gustavo Utrabo (São Paulo, Brazil), Cecilia Zurita (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Mapa Arquitetos (Porto Alegre, Brazil), David Ramirez (Guatemala City, Guatemala), João Mendes Ribeiro (Coimbra, Portugal), Sheyla Passos (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Alberto Collet (Barcelona, Spain), Nitsche Arquitectos (São Paulo, Brazil), and Janaina França Costa (Belo Horizonte, Brazil).
