The FestiAtlas CoMún invites reflection on architecture, public space, and the city. It encourages visitors to explore the Casa de la Cultura, a historic building that spans a Buenos Aires city block, through installations, exhibitions, gatherings, and activities by various collectives that present new ways of approaching the idea of the "common."
The Casa de la Cultura, housed in the former La Prensa newspaper palace, will be transformed into an immersive installation that invites visitors to engage with everyday materials. In the central courtyard, scaffolding, plants, and textiles, among many others, will form part of a universe of ephemeral devices that help construct the distinct atmospheres of our urban imaginaries. In the basement, where the printing press was once located, various performances will take place amidst pneumatic structures, lights, and reflections.
