‘The City and Invention: Encounters between Architecture, Anthropology, and Art’ was a research workshop curated by Adolfo Estalella and Pablo Arboleda in collaboration with Tamara Arroyo, held at the facilities of Intermediæ – Matadero Madrid Contemporary Creation Center between March and June 2022.
This activity, which focused on new ways of conceiving, designing, and representing our urban contexts in a present marked by uncertainty, featured a series of reflection sessions and intensive workshops. Guest experts from various disciplines generated a rich debate based on their research experiences in the European city, characterized by an original use of creative methods including poetic writing and short stories, photography, performance, board games, dérives, comics, drawing, and a variety of audiovisual pieces.
