The Foros lecture series at the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, an essential annual event in the field of architecture, is launching a new edition in collaboration with BBConstrumat, running from February 11 to May 6.
Titled "Identities," this new edition aims to contribute to the debate on the concept of identity in contemporary architectural practice, which is heavily influenced by current globalization trends. Foros 2019 is co-directed by school professors Guillem Carabí and Fredy Massad. "Architecture, especially in the current century, participates in globalizing dynamics that frequently challenge its territorial discourse. In response, more specific ways of working are emerging that champion the wisdom of the local," they note.
