
Lecture by prominent Swiss architect Pascal Flammer as part of the second TES Workshop, which he will lead for the Master of Architecture program at UC. The lecture will be open to the public on October 11 at the Fernando Castillo Velazco auditorium. The final workshop presentation will take place on Friday, October 12, in the West Tunnel starting at 3:30 PM.
Pascal Flammer studied architecture at ETH Zurich, TU Delft, and EPFL Lausanne, graduating with a degree in architecture and a master's degree from ETH Zurich in 2001. Between 1998 and 2005, he worked with Valerio Olgiati, contributing to projects such as the K+N house in Switzerland, the residential and commercial complex in Tirana, Albania, and the Atelier Bardil in Wollerau, Switzerland, among others. In 2005, he established his independent practice in Zurich, Switzerland, and has since received numerous awards, including the Weissenhof Architecture Award in 2006, the Swiss Art Award in 2012, the Philippe Rotthier European Architecture Prize in 2014, and the AIT-Award in 2016. He has also served as a visiting professor at the Harvard GSD, the Accademia di Mendrisio, the Porto Academy, ETH Zurich, Princeton University, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
