The Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Rio de Janeiro (CAU/RJ) will hold the first edition of "CAU nos Bairros" (CAU in the Neighborhoods) in Campo Grande on June 1st and 2nd. This free, public initiative aims to demonstrate how architects and urban planners can help build or renovate with efficiency, quality, and fewer unforeseen issues.
The program includes exhibitions of final graduation projects (TFGs), short courses, workshops, lectures, and discussion circles. A highlight is the "Architecture Fair: Tips for Building or Renovating." The event will bring together various professionals who will be available to talk, answer questions, provide tips, and present their work to all interested parties. "CAU nos Bairros" will take place at Praça Dom João Esberard and the Unisuam Campo Grande campus (Av. Cesário de Melo, 2541, Campo Grande). Participants can also join a technical visit to the As Caboclas collective to examine the challenges of implementing Technical Assistance for Social Interest Housing in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
