
Architecture: Devices and Imaginaries in the Narratives of Power
Eloy Méndez Sainz is an architect and holds a PhD in Urbanism from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is a research professor at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) and has taught and lectured at various universities in Mexico and abroad. He is a Level III member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). His most recent books include Narrar la ciudad (BUAP-Lirio, 2017), El imaginario de la ciudad (UDG, 2016), and Pueblos mágicos: Variaciones de tradición y modernidad (Coordinator, UDG, 2016). His research focuses on the redesign of heritage for tourism through the lens of imaginaries.
