The launch of the final ARQDOCS publication of 2018 will take place on Thursday, December 6, at 7:00 PM. The event will feature a keynote lecture by researcher, architect, and historian Beatriz Colomina at the FADEU Auditorium.
This launch marks the conclusion of the 2018 publication cycle for the DOCS series, which previously featured guests Adrian Forty, Philipp Ursprung, Thomas Weaver, and Manuel Corrada.
Beatriz Colomina is the director and founder of the interdisciplinary Media and Modernity program at Princeton University, where she also serves as a professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Architecture. Her books include Are We Human? Notes on an Archeology of Design (Lars Müller, 2016), The Century of the Bed (Verlag für Moderne Kunst, 2015), Clip/Stamp/Fold: The Radical Architecture of Little Magazines 196x-197x (Actar, 2010), Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media (MIT Press, 1994), and Sexuality and Space (Princeton Architectural Press, 1992), among many others. She has lectured at universities and art museums worldwide and has curated a series of international exhibitions based on archival research and oral history.
