The Municipal Secretariat of Culture, through the Department of Historical Heritage (DPH), is hosting the 15th Heritage Appreciation Week. On August 12, 13, and 14, three online sessions will explore the theme "Our City, Our Memories." The free broadcast will be available on the DPH YouTube and Facebook channels.
The event opens on August 12 with the panel "Cultural Heritage: Representations and Narratives." Moderated by CONPRESP director Raquel Schenkman, the session features Camila Raghi (Refúgios Urbanos), Cleiton Ferreira "Fofão" (Comunidade Cultural Quilombaque), and Renato Cymbalista (FAUUSP/Uninove). The discussion will address the challenges of preserving cultural heritage in a city as diverse and unequal as São Paulo, considering representations and the dialogue with various social, economic, and political groups.
