
The Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Rio de Janeiro (CAU/RJ) is hosting a public debate to discuss cultural funding lines and the appreciation of architecture and urbanism through the lens of culture. The event will also provide an opportunity to address questions regarding the 6th edition of the organization's Cultural Sponsorship Program, which is accepting applications until 5:00 PM on September 21 for financial support for initiatives such as events or publications related to the architecture and urbanism profession.
The meeting will take place next Monday, the 10th, starting at 6:00 PM at the CAU/RJ headquarters. Attendees will include historian Lia Calabre, head of cultural policies at the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation, and Diogo Leal, curator of the International Architecture Film Festival, which was supported by the program's previous edition. There will also be a screening of the film “Crônicas da demolição” at 4:00 PM, followed by a discussion with director Eduardo Ades.
