On May 16 at 6:30 PM, Fraya Frehse, a professor in the Department of Sociology at USP, will deliver the final lecture of the "Planos: Diálogos em Arquitetura, Urbanismo e Design" (Plans: Dialogues in Architecture, Urbanism, and Design) series, hosted by the Professional Master's Program in Architecture, Urbanism, and Design at Belas Artes.
Focusing on the theme "City and Memory," Frehse will discuss her experience in anthropology and sociology at their intersection with history and urban studies. Her talk will highlight the relationships between the body, public space, and urbanization in São Paulo, specifically addressing how bodily uses of public places—particularly streets and squares—reveal the connections between city and memory in our city.
The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be held in the Sala Stadium at the institution's Unit 1. No registration is required to attend.
