CANOPY

CARPA, a replicable event born from the importance of utilizing and enjoying spaces undergoing transformation, momentarily turns them into a meeting point for long-time residents and newcomers alike. It serves as a time and place to learn the stories of both the neighborhood and its inhabitants, to spark experiences through artistic expression, and to build community.

The inaugural edition of CARPA is hosted at one of BAAQ’s latest projects: a 1963 building that once served as a textile factory and will soon be converted into an apartment complex. Located at Dr. Atl 285 in Santa María la Ribera—recognized as one of Mexico City’s "barrios mágicos"—it is one of the most compelling areas to live, thanks to its central location, iconic landmarks, and the small-town atmosphere that permeates its streets.
