“Abstract Alchemy”
Group exhibition opens on May 1st at the Centro Cultural Correios RJ
Images emerge from the alchemy of color, from the contrast between light and dark that serves as the foundation for brushstrokes and palette knife work through synchronous and asynchronous movements on the canvas surface. This is how curator and artist Renata Costa defines the work of Andréa Noronha, Cosme Martins, Deborah Netto, and Miguel Nader, who join her in the group exhibition “Abstract Alchemy,” opening on May 1st at the Centro Cultural Correios RJ in the city center. Through mid-June, the exhibition brings together 25 works that express each artist's creative and productive process, connecting through time via gesture and forming full and empty pictorial surfaces, resulting in a blend of pigments that create colors and tones. Starting at 4:00 PM, there will be a performance by artist Duda Anízio.
