The Institute of Architects of Brazil – São Paulo Department (IABsp) is issuing an OPEN PUBLIC CALL for expressions of interest to join a multidisciplinary Working Group responsible for leading the development process of the "Educational Territories" project – Module I, in partnership with the São Paulo State Department of Education.
The "Educational Territories" project – Module I aims to gather information to develop methodological guidelines applicable to the more than 5,300 schools in the State of São Paulo. These guidelines will provide a common framework to increase community engagement in education beyond the school environment, encompassing the territorial experience of the surrounding area. This mission will be carried out through the ongoing work of a group of professionals from various fields related to education and urbanism, with the goal of strengthening the school-community-territory relationship in diverse contexts across the state, including urban centers, rural areas, vulnerable regions, coastal cities, and indigenous and quilombola territories, among others.
There are 5 openings for RESEARCH GROUPS, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS, COLLECTIVES, and PROFESSIONALS in Architecture and Urbanism, Humanities, Public Policy Management, and other fields related to the development of education from a territorial perspective. Selected professionals and organizations will form a Working Group (WG) that will include representatives from the technical teams of the São Paulo State Department of Education.
