Exhibition "Weaving Memory"

Featuring a total of 20 black-and-white portraits enhanced with thread-on-paper techniques, emerging talent María Jesús Sáez aims to decentralize her work, starting in Chiloé, where she will present the exhibition “HILANDO EL RECUERDO” from September 7 to October 10 at the Galería Modulor in Castro, sponsored by the integrated marketing group ADBrokers.

A weaver of dreams, the artist—who was also selected to participate in the 2018 ARTSTGO Fair, held at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM) on August 18 and 19—finds in the exploration of embroidering on an unconventional material like paper “the possibility of creating a new visual work from a preconceived reality.”
