I. Introduction. The 2025 Di Tella Architecture Prize is dedicated to celebrating the work of professionals under the age of forty-five (45) in Argentina and neighboring countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The prize seeks to recognize the cultural value of architecture and its impact on the built environment, consisting of the production of a printed monographic publication as part of the DTA (Di Tella Architecture) collection. Spatial practices in the broadest sense of the term—including projects, built work, research, and activism—whether individual or collective, will be considered.
II. Organization. The Di Tella Architecture Prize is organized by the School of Architecture and Urban Studies (EAEU) at the Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT) through its Center for Studies of Contemporary Architecture (CEAC). The jury for the second edition of the prize is composed of Marcelo Faiden (Dean of EAEU), Javier Agustín Rojas (Director of CEAC), and guest jurors Emanuel Christ and Christoph Gantenbein.
III. Background. The first edition of the Di Tella Architecture Prize took place in 2023 with guest jurors Mauricio Pezo and Sofia Von Ellrichshausen. The winning firm was the Rio de Janeiro-based studio gru.a (grupo de arquitetos), founded in 2013 by Caio Calafate and Pedro Varella. Their award lecture can be viewed on the School's video channel.
